Recruiting Department | 2023-24 | Graphic Design | Photoshop
Objective:
Create graphics to send to recruits and coaches. This includes holidays, recruits’ birthdays, committed to JMU, hype graphics, events, camps, department desired graphics, coach highlight, athlete specific, and award/record broken/stat related graphic. These are sent via email, posted on X by the recruiting department, and shared on other social platforms by coaches, players, and recruits.

Key Insights:
I have learned and develop my skills in Adobe tremendously from this internship. I am able to learn from graphic designers on the media team and collaborate about projects. These graphics are individually created, but I get inspiration from other designers in person and online. I have learned the importance of brand identity. For example, using the JMU athletics font, JMU colors, and generic player for each graphic. I have also developed my passion for sports design.
Big Idea:
There is not necessarily a big idea for each graphic. Generally, the idea is to inform and celebrate in a unique way to create engagement and interactivity with the JMU football program.
